Privacy Policy

FindMyDarts is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This policy describes the data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data Controller

The data controller is Antony Couture, sole proprietor. For any questions regarding your personal data: [email protected].

Data Collected

We collect the following data: email address, display name, password (encrypted), profile picture (optional), geographic location (with your explicit consent), participation history, reviews, tournament registrations, gamification data (XP, badges, login streaks) and user preferences. For Pro users, purchase data is managed directly by the stores (Apple/Google) — we do not store your banking information.

Legal Basis for Processing

Your data is processed on the following bases: your consent (Article 6.1.a GDPR) for geolocation and push notifications; contract performance (Article 6.1.b) for service delivery (account, tournaments, social features); our legitimate interest (Article 6.1.f) for security and service improvement.

Data Usage

Your data is used to: provide application services (venue search, tournament registration, social features and gamification), send relevant notifications (tournament reminders, messages), improve the service through anonymized statistics. We never sell your data to third parties.

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your personal data is deleted within 30 days (soft delete then purge). Anonymized data for statistical purposes may be retained beyond this period.

Subprocessors

We use the following subprocessors to provide our service:

  • Contabo GmbH (Germany) — Server and database hosting
  • Google Firebase (EU/US) — Social authentication, push notifications, crash reporting
  • Sentry (US) — Error tracking and application monitoring
  • Google Play / Apple App Store — In-app subscription and purchase management
  • Plausible Analytics (self-hosted, EU) — Anonymous visit statistics, cookie-free

Cookies

FindMyDarts does not use any tracking or advertising cookies. The mobile application uses a locally stored JWT token for authentication. The website uses Plausible Analytics, which does not set any cookies and does not collect any personal data. Therefore, no consent banner is required.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights: access to your data, rectification, deletion ("right to be forgotten"), portability (JSON export from the app), restriction of processing, objection. You can exercise these rights directly from the application (Settings > GDPR section) or by writing to [email protected]. In case of dispute, you can contact the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
